Allison::Candid Shoot

This morning I did a candid 3minute shoot of my sis, Alli.
She was laying on a bed in front of the window, reading a book about one of her and my favorite actresses, Audrey Hepburn.
I randomly started shooting a few pics and discovered that she was indeed in a "sweet spot" of light which made for some amazing pictures!
These are all completely natural and 100% unedited.
Just goes to show that you absolutely do not need photoshop to prove a point. =)
in this case, the ingredients for success are:
1)white pillows & blankets
2)lots of sunshiny window light
3)a beautiful sister for a model
and there you have it. =)

  1. Ah, these pictures are beautiful, Chels! And, yes, LOVE that lighting. I especially like the first, last, and 8th pictures. Miss you girls and hope you are doing well! :) Blessings!

  2. SO pretty, Chels! Beautiful lighting, beautiful eye, beautiful sister! :)

  3. Lovely, Chels! These are gorgeous, and Allison, your hat is adorable!

  4. Wow that is awesome lightening!!! You caught it right at the right time! So awesome when pictures turn out so good without editing them. :)

  5. Beautiful pictures!! Love the lighting! And cute hat! :)

  6. Great pics usual :D Allison...I LOVE your hat!

I'm getting ready to reply to your emails...I haven't forgotten about you two...sorry for the delay :(

    Love from,

  7. I'm so excited to be introduced to your blog! I'm a huge fan of women that are passionate for Jesus, and I love to see great photography too! :) Blessings to you!

  8. Whoa, girl! BEAUTIFUL pictures of an obviously adorable person! =D doesn't Audrey Hepburn have like the cutest face? So have you watched My Fair Lady? I think that's the only film that I've seen her in. LOVED that movie. (save the ending. Pretty much the definition of pathetic. =D)

    Yours Truly...

{Ps} Just to parrot everyone else. I LOVE that hat! So where'd Alli get it? Don't you dare tell me goodwill! [wink] jk!

    1. Kaylee....
"My Fair Lady" was the first Audrey Hepburn movie Alli & I watched, too. We about died laughing...and spent quite a bit of time critiquing, etc etc.The outfits are incredible. They really go all out with the hats. =)
      But yes, the ending...agh!!
After it ended we just sat there for a minute. I could not BELIEVE that anybody could think up an ending that lousy. seriously!!
At some point my power of speech returned and at the same time we both said quite loudly and vehemently what we thought of that very pathetic ending. Of all the ridiculous things...she had to come back!!what was she thinking? If she would've just waited a little bit...the movie might've ended with the MAN on his hands and knees, apologizing for his rudeness. You and I could've given her a few tips on this..
Dear dear, I'm writing a book here. I must NOT be so vocal. =)

The hat...comes from me!! =) And no, believe it or not, I actually did not get it at goodwill. It comes from good old faithful and boring....WALMART. (I got it about a month ago at a Walmart in Tennessee..or maybe it was Virginia? Not sure. But they had the biggest most adorable collection of hats there.)
I want to make some like it though...wouldn't be too hard...just take some lace and a flower and a hat and...tada?? yes, I think so.

    2. I love all the music in it but when I found out she was not the one singing I just about died!:( But I LOVE that movie! It is the only Audrey Hepburn movie I have watched. Do you have any faves?... I love that you got that hat from walmart! When in doubt .... go to walmart! Keep on posting! Love your blog!
