Two Weeks With Elliot

It is so true that time flies faster and faster as one grows older. Our little cherub was two weeks old on Friday and I know the weeks, months, and years are just going to continue to pick up steam as they fly by! I feel like having babies is perhaps the best reminder of how fast life goes and how important it is to cherish each moment. Some mamas have told me that time drags, but for me, it is FLYING as my boys (boys! still can't believe I have TWO!) are growing up right in front of my very eyes.

It has been such a sweet first couple of weeks since we've added little Elliot to our family. The first question most people ask is "how is Axton doing?" and the answer is that he is doing great. He adores Elliot and comes up to him literally dozens of times a day to "give sugar". His kisses are the sweetest and most tender little things, and he is learning about gentleness in other areas. =)

Enjoy a bit of our first two weeks with Elliot Rex, in pictures!
The little brotherhood.

Allllll the heart eyes.
Me with my precious second-born!
Axton's smile says it all. He LOVES his brother!
Daddy time.
Within the first couple days of Elliot's little life, almost all of his Maxwell relatives had been over to meet him. It was extra special for us for him to meet Gigi, as he is named after her late husband, John's Granddad Rex.
This little guy has some of the biggest baby yawns!
Sound asleep.
We celebrated Father's Day just two days after Elliot was born. It wasn't quite typical--John grilled his own dinner and took care of us instead of it being the other way around, like I would've loved! But we agreed that it was a perfect day!
First time in the carseat!
Our first outing as a family of four was chiropractor appointments for Elliot and me.
Check out that double chin!
Getting in some lovely vitamin D. This little guy ADORES the sun, warmth, and toasty swaddles!
Brother chats. =) And no worries, daddy was right there and it was all perfectly safe!
First bath!
Cutest little ducky. =)
My sis-in-law came and did a photo session for us when Elliot was a week old. The pictures turned out SO good and I will be posting some soon!
Elliot Rex at one week old!
He has the most adorable little positions sometimes!
My first day "solo parenting" with both boys. We made it safely through without any major catastrophes, ha!
Wish I knew what he was dreaming about...
Soaking up allll the snuggles, cause babies don't keep.
Accidentally matching, so mama had to get a picture. =)

Hope you enjoyed this peek into our first two weeks as a family of four!
