Welcome back! Our wedding was truly all I could've ever imagined + our honeymoon in Texas was just as amazing. We arrived "home" from our honeymoon on the 18th, and so far, "wife life" has exceeded anything I could've imagined and I am absolutely loving it!
For today, here's one of the "sneak peak" previews from our coldest + most beautiful of days. And because I know you will all ask...that is part of my bare foot sticking out from my dress! I told my photographer beforehand that I so badly wanted just one or two barefoot pics outdoors, no matter how cold it was. I got my wish. =)
Can't wait to share more with y'all soon!
-John's girl =)
It WAS frigid!!! Beautiful pic though!! Thanks for posting. Good to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteLove, Rebecca
Yay! So glad to see another post from you! The photograph is beautiful. And eek your feet must've been freezing!! But now you'll always have a story to tell when you show people this photo :) Your dress was gorgeous, by the way!
ReplyDeleteHi there Mrs Maxwell,
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the most beautiful wedding photos I’ve ever seen, but if you were out in all that snow barefoot, you just might be a lunatic. Is that the park where Mitchell and Bryn had their reception? I think I recognize the setting.
May you and John have a lifetime of love and happiness together. I hope you love your new house and hometown. I’d love to see some pictures of your finished house, when it’s done.
They must miss you like crazy in Iowa.
I wasn’t able to watch the live stream of your wedding, though I had really wanted to see it. Is there a way to see it now?
Congratulations and best wishes to the 2 of you,
Amanda
That is a beautiful picture. Congratulations Chelsy and John.

So cute!!! Can't wait to see more pics ;)
ReplyDeleteI could not believe you were bare footed as cold as it was. I mean way below zero that day. It was very nice and I enjoyed the wedding. It was different than any other I had been to and loved the way you did yours better. Loved the drone part and that is one picture I didn't happen to get myself.
ReplyDeleteChelsey!! That is a beautiful picture! You guys look great! ❤ I also love being barefoot, so I can relate. Praying for you as you adjust to your new home.
ReplyDeleteLove this, sis. Your day was truly beautiful- your story even more so. God is good!

Awwwww Congrats Chelsy! This photo looks like it should be on a calendar, your photographer did a great job!

Greetings Chelsy,
ReplyDeleteI had the privilege of watching the live stream and noticed the bare feet! I too love to go barefoot! The pic is adorable.
I’m in Texas and wondering where you honeymooned! I’m hoping the Hill Country! The absolute most beautiful and romantic area of our state! Love the secluded B & B’s in the area!
Blessings to you and John!
Right you are! =) It has long been my favorite part of Texas and John loves it as well so it was an easy choice for us!
DeleteAwe, so cute! So happy for you! I loved watching your wedding live-stream that day! What a blessing it was to be apart of your special day from afar! Thank you and John for your godly example!! Can't wait to see more pictures!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sarah F.
Go Chelsy!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere they are
In the snow
In love and barefoot
Is how she rolls
When they see her
walk on by
They all just wonder
How she can fly!
But it is because
She has his heart
That boy named John
They'll never part
John and Chelsy
In the snow
Together forever
Wherever they go
John and Chelsy!
Every day his hand in hers. . .
and what happens then?
They wake up and do
It all over again!
<3 I love your spirit xoxoxo! Meg
Very nice poam.
DeleteI'm so glad you posted! Beautiful picture. Barefoot is a cute idea!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you Chelsy! Love the photo and am excited to see more!
ReplyDeleteWife life is a pretty grand life... just a bit biased here ;-)
ReplyDeleteI watched the stream of your wedding and it was just the most beautiful ceremony I have ever seen! The absolute perfect celebration of the Lord and family.
And your gown!!
GORGEOUS!
It made me think of a Jane Austen dress but better (hope that makes sense).
Love the bare feet!
Blessing to you and your Mr,
Elizabeth
Hi Chelsy, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a fourteen year old Christian girl in Australia, on a homestead and homeschooling!
My Mum and I (well mainly me ;)) have been following yours, your family's, and Allisons blog for quite some time and always enjoy your posts.
We loved seeing your brothers weddings and were sooooo excited when you announced your engagement! We love your dress and whole wedding setting, but would also like to see the live stream please!
Gorgeous photo, I love bare feet but as it never EVER gets anywhere near that cold here, don't know if I could manage it in the snow!!!
Love and blessings,
Anna xxx

ReplyDeleteHi chelsy! Loved the update your family put of you both on their blog! I had been wondering how it's been going after the wedding...I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing the link to your wedding to me? I tried to watch it live but it would garble on me at times so I did miss sections of it. Would love to see it again! loghometech@gmail.com. Thanks!!
